When your child is not quite ready for orthodontic treatment, we implement our growth guidance supervision program. In this program, we follow your child’s dental development until the optimal time for brace placement. We feel this not only reduces the length of treatment, but overall costs as well.
Our orthodontists will typically examine your child’s mouth every three to six months to ensure that his/her baby teeth are coming out when they should, the permanent teeth emerge properly and have enough room to grow, and there are no additional bite-related issues. Growth guidance also allows us to monitor your child’s dental growth so that we can stay on top of any orthodontic problems and correct skeletal or dental abnormalities before they become more serious.
When our orthodontists see that it is time to start orthodontic treatment, we will schedule diagnostic records and discuss our treatment plan with you and your child.
